MyWebAR, the service that helps users create augmented reality for the web developed by DEVAR is now being used in 100 countries around the world. The company has reached a record high in new users on the service at the beginning of 2021. The user base now includes webAR creators from 101 countries, including Pakistan, Ethiopia, the island of Mauritius.
DEVAR launched its MyWebAR service in March 2020. The platform allows not only the experienced developers, but also the users without any programming skills to create augmented reality (AR) for web browsers in just a few minutes. All you need is to upload the 3D models (the service supports all popular file formats: GLB, FBX, DAE, OBJ), video and audio and add them to your product. The service is fully compatible with iOS and Android web browsers, as well as Windows, MacOS, ChromeOS and more.
In practice we see a clear trend towards the widespread use of augmented reality technology. In the next 2–3 years a large part of the market of physical goods will be digitized or «augmented» with AR. A new industry called Phygital is taking shape before our eyes.
